armani911: In Vista: Assign a new shortcut to your dock, and make the path to that shortcut "c:\users\your user(usually your name)\desktop. In either Vista or XP, open your ObjectDock properties, select the "Docklets" menu, and there should be a "Show Desktop" docklet as an option.
