blahgye, it is impossible that your friend got it to work as default. Bootskin only recognises background images with 640 by 480 resolution. gautordi, please update this, as you uploaded a 640 by 479 background image. This is causing Bootskin not to recognise this theme. In the meantime, everyone who can't get this to work, resize the background image (bg.bmp inside Program Files > ... > Bootskin > Skins > Windows 7 Beta 1) to 640 by 480 resolution with an image editor that can save as 4-bit (16 colours) bitmap.

sadly does i got it into my list and applied successfuly! 
but upon shut down and restart the next day i got a lue screen with and error message saying windows was shut down to protect your files from dmage so i had to put it into safe mode and do a sys restore and my fully custom windows 7 skin that had taken me 3 months to create was gone and i had to strt from scracth srry you guys i wasnt able to upload my skin it was legit an exact replica of windows 7 just with some glow effects to evade the copy right.

Hey guys. Everyone that didn't success, I mean EVERYONE, download my link, then extract the zip, then you move the folder to Local Disk (DISK THAT HAVE WINDOWS IN IT)\ Program Files\ Stardock\ WinCustumize\ BootSkin\ skins\ and drop the folder in. Then....
