I've been impressed that my bootskin work has been rec'd so well, I've only been doing this for a month (seriously, a month ago I had never heard of this site or that bootskinning was even possible, a friend showed me you could customize the windows startup screen aka bootskin and I've been hooked ever since) and I've been so surprised that everyone has been downloading my work, again thanks for the awesome feedback.
This was the first bootskin I created that got 3 1/2 stars, I've never rec'd a higher rating and I was ecstatic, I didn't understand how the voting worked until I became a wincustomize subscriber and saw that I could rate other skins as well, I've been addicted to this site ever since. Mostly late evenings and weekend is when I find time to work on this stuff, lately I've been trying to update my existing skins more than releasing new skins, just made sense to make every one of them look as as good as I could make them now that I've got a clue on how to create these bootskins.
My laptop has a pretty bright LCD screen and I thought that the brightness was ok but maybe the other user's display settings are different so I will probably revamp this one as well.
Thanks again for the awesome feedback, this stuff is alot of fun. I'm just wondering if I should hold off on creating all these vista logo based bootskins and focus on winxp logo based bootskins, except beta testers (which I count myself as one - I have installed the previous beta release of vista and I've just finished downloading Vista RC1) no one will be running vista on their pc's for a little while still
