Updated Captain America bootskin featuring a Captain America bkgrnd image, includes an improved bkgrnd image (improved colors & color rendering), removed the vista & shield logo, includes a captain america character (lower left corner), captain america text logo (lower right corner), image of 1st Captain America comic book from late 60's (upper left corner), improved progress bar area and includes a multi-tone red, white & blue progress bar (progress bar style courtesy of skinnedalive).
This bootskin is a tribute to the Captain America character that Marvel Comics created quite a few years ago and recently killed off near the end of the Civil War series. Yes it's hard to believe that Captain America is gone now, he's been a Marvel icon for decades literally. I hope you enjoy this bootskin; a logon & rainlendar (and possibly a wb theme) will be following soon.
More on the "End of Captain America" story (excerpt from the Marvel Comic website):
"Steve Rogers aka Captain America: a veteran of World War II, thought lost during the close of those hostilities, returned to action decades later and was instrumental in the early days of the Avengers. He had been at the forefront of American superheroics until recently when he openly and violently opposed the U.S. government's Super Human Registration Act. As Captain America, Rogers battled pro-Registration forces last week in Manhattan until surrendering himself to S.H.I.E.L.D. custody. He was on his way to his arraignment when he was shot down outside the Federal Courthouse in Manhattan."
