Ditto Fairyy~'s comment. I really like the option of having background images. Fantastic job!

This is one of the nicest widgets I have seen on the internet. Visually appealing and easy to customize. GREAT WORK! Thank You!

Nice widget but where are the instructions? How do you change the pics?

Cheers

How do you change the pics?

Are you just referring to changing the pic on the Vista Lista with the already provided thumbnails ?
You just click on button on lower right bottom to open gallery the double click on the pic you want.

If its you want to change the gallery to your own pics - thats a bit more involved.

** You will want to have your 2 resized jpeg/png pics ready before you start this. Resize a pic you like in the following 2 sizes:

1)Thumbnail pic resize to 40x48
2)Large pic on vista lista resize to 160x190
**********************************************
Open desktopX in builder mode - import the widget - open thumbnails up - click on the thumbnail you want to change to your own pic.
Make sure the Vista Lista is showing the pic you want to change. Right click in center of pic:
Go to options- states tab-
appearance tab- browse to where you have resized your own pic to Vista Lista size. Hit apply and Ok.

Then go to thumbnails and right click on the thumbnail and repeat the above procedure and change that one to your resized thumbnail pic. Hit apply and ok.

When finished - Right Click on the widget itself and export it back to widgets - you can over ride the previous version or just rename the widget you just customized.

Cheers

This Widget is beautiful but I have the wrong date.
It is Sunday the 4th of March in Europe and not Saturday the 4th of March so I couldn't use it

Thats a strange one indeed, try checking your default windows calendar and see if date on that is correct, if not then change it to correct date.
Also try clearing out your widget cache, normally found in:
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\DesktopX\WidgetCache

Sorry but this is all I can come up with that may help you

Thank you , but I could not find
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\DesktopX\WidgetCache
I found
C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\ & C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\
[ I translated both into Englisch / normally : German ]
The Windows calendar is correct , but I have the calendar from the Sidebar is correct.
Maybe I should delete it and install the widget again.

*update*
i try it but this wasn't the problem. I also check your script , but I could't found the calendarprocedure.
The problem that I couldn't found the procedure that I don't understand so much about script's.

You also have a widgets manager in your desktopX folder, try opening that, click on options and you can clear widget cache from there.

I have spoken to others and the calendar seems to be fine for them.

I hope getting cache cleared will help but other than that I dont know how to help you.

Good luck

Well this was also not the problem. But you don't search for the reason.

I've tried to help you with your unique problem but I cant/wont search for a problem that I and others don't have.
Use the widget or dont use the widget, makes no difference to me.

I know for a fact that he most certainly has tried to find a reason for your problem. Most People offer their skins here for free. We do not get paid for anything we do here. We try to help as much as possible. Im in the USA - buzzh58 is in New Zealand - we have no problem with the calendar displaying the correct time zoned time. Once again..have you deleted the widget cache ? This will restore the widget to its original state. You never stated if you had done this as far as I can see you could not find the other pathway to delete cache. This is the other route.
Now - go to DesktopX welcome screen > Load Widget button > Options button >
clear widget cache
Picture directions:

If this does not clear up the problem you can try 'importing' this widget in DesktopX builder mode - then see if it displays proper date in builder mode - if so - then right click on widget and choose ' export ' and export it back to widgets but rename the exported version.

There are too many variables for each computer and anything that could conflict with a widgets script. You are the only one that seems affected by this....

Actually he is not the only one affected by this problem... I'm in the UK and have the same problem with the date - today is Friday the 16th March, but both your widget and the Silica calender that is installed with Desktop are listing today as a Thursday. It may be something to do with the time zone differences maybe, but I know that my windows calender is correct...

I realise you have tried to help with this issue, but I just wanted to say that it IS affecting more than one person, but it may be a flaw in Desktop X rather than your widget...

I've just tried another calender (Hyalo by adni18) and that displays the right date for me, so I guess it isn't DesktopX that is the problem. I have no idea how to create widgets though so I don't mean to criticize, merely to comment

Actually its good to comment when something is amiss. Its hard to know if its an isolated problem to do with a conflict with one or 2 users computers. So its not looked upon as a criticism at all. buzzh58 did indeed search for a reason. And probably will keep it in mind. I have had other widgets that came with desktopx that just stopped working for no apparent reason. Sometimes its just an oddity that has to do with a script changing or the website the script reacts with for info.
