I wanted to give people the option to change the clock face and suchlike if they didn't like it.
You're quite right, guess I'm so used to broadband I don't think about download times! Doh!
I'll bear it in mind for the future tho' - thanks for the tip.

I understand ..you could still put it in the objects gallery too but most just export them back to a widget.
Dial-up people ...pain in the neck huh

Very glad you like it.
I find the chimes useful for reminding me that I've been sitting at my 'pooter screen for far too long!

I did it quite small 'cos I only use 1024x768 and don't like my desktop to be too cluttered - it did start life v.large but I scaled it down.
Well spotted on the hourly bongs duration (do you live in Westminster or something? ) - they are a bit longer in real life but I trimmed it down. You could always change the duration of the timer in the script if you like (I think maybe 3000, rather than 2500 would be about right).

(I live in East Sussex, bout 60 miles from London)
I have another comment (more of a question) Have you thought of making the whole building into widget instead of just the clock face?

I'm gonna make use of my double post...
when altering the object.settimer there is 100,2000 and 200,2500. what does the 100 and 200 part do?

You could of uploaded it to the DX Object gallery too. But putting both in file was unnecessary...it made the file 1.5 mbs and people on dial up dont want to d/load large files just to delete them..but i liked the chimes
