I thought I would let you know that I have what I think is a problem with the SD Recycle Bin. The other day all was going well with the email checker and then I deleted all of my Object Dock Plus files and directories.

Now this was a pretty large delete.

Now here is where I found the problem. I happened to have the Windows File Manager open after the delete and clicked on the file managers recycle bin and delete the files.

Well I then closed the file manager and the SD Recycle Bin showed all that it was full and then showed a large file directory content.

I couldn't understand that after deleting the file in file manager, so I right clicked on the trash can and told the SD Recycle Bin to delete the files.

Well actually there weren't any files to delete and the SD Recycle Bin stayed on the deleting files prompt with the progress line all night. It will also stop all the system from functioning correctly and slowing it down so much that you have to hit the reset button to reboot to stop it.

I there a timer issue here where the SD Recycle Bin doesn't check the recycle bin to see if there are files or not and then re setting itself?

I really love this unit because it allowed me to take my recycle bin off of the desktop and have all this other information there.

Can you look at this and let me know what you find?

Sincerely

Larry Hutcheson

To Automan:

Hi Larry,

I have tested this widget on a three computers but not found any problems... How I can help you in this case?

May be you'll give me your e-mail? I'll save this as a gadget and send for you?

Best Regards.

Hi Vad_M;

Like the other reply, I deleted the whole CurserXP Delux Images, etc. and I used the recycle in Windows File Manager. It needs to be tried that way and get rid of the temp files. Then watch what happens. Mine still shows all the files, etc. and also if you tryu to do a delete it will sit all night because it can't find those deleted files.?

I have uploaded a file called Vad_M recycle 2.0.zip I think, you will know it.

I also made you a user, but I need you to email me at lahutcheson@knology.net so that I can send your user name and also you password. Can't put it here. Sorry.

Thanks for getting back to me but a quick thought is that if the files don't exist there needs to be a error checking section for this. then presto it's the perfect emal. I love it!!!

By the way I tried you email in your section and it came back? Might want to check that one.

been looking at the code in the recycle bin and i think i have a handle on how it all works but i do have a question

Const ssfWORK = &H1C
Const RECBIN = &HA
Const FOF_ALLOWUNDO = &H40

i understand the use of the constants but where did the codes come from, where is there a list that says what &H1C and &HA and &H40 does or what they mean, gone through the msdn and i am hitting a brick wall, not sure where else to look can you send a link my email is idova@hotmail.com, could really use a hand on sourceing all this info so i know what i can and cant do (i want to make a quicklaunch bar as an desktop object or widget, think i know how to do it but need to know more about these sorts of codes)
