Again, do you have existing versions that are not getting overwritten?
If you import the PicViewer12.exe into DX do you get errors when dragging a file onto it?

Same here with 1.2. Completely deleted all 1.1 version, and registry entries. Drag and drop pictures, but nothing changes.

I upgraded to the newest version, and deleted the older version. I still can't drag my pictures onto it, and in this newest version, I've lost my ability to resize vertically (horizontally works fine).

i dont get how you are supposed to get the code out...... it wont let you export it or anything! why cant you just upload them as objects?

Latin, your posts do not need to be as agressive. Let me say this again, and let me say it clearly ...

YOU DO NOT NEED TO UPLOAD OBJECTS BECAUSE USING DX2.2 IF YOU CLICK 'IMPORT' YOU CAN IMPORT A WIDGET INTO DESKTOPX AND VIEW THE OBJECTS AND ACCESS THE SCRIPT

OK these problems are really beginning to annoy me ... not the comments - the problems.

I have just downloaded this object into a clean XP install with a clean DX install and it works perfectly.

Can people who have been having problems try this ...

1) Unload DesktopX
2) Delete ANY files called PicViewerxxx.exe from your DesktopX/Widgets directory
3) Download this object and place the PicViewer12.exe in your DesktopX/Widgets directory
4) Restart DesktopX and Run the Widget

Does that work? Please also confirm whether you are running DX2.2.

bkmo: What file are you dropping on - is it a single file or are you dropping several files.

What is the filename and type?

Martin, Mostly pictures are .jpg (lowercase). They are either names with spaces, or Image001.jpg types of files direct from camera. I am dragging and dropping one at a time. I have tried files with uppercase extensions, and still no picture is displayed.

Yeah, I did all of that. It doesn't work. All of my pictures that I tried at *.jpg, and I'm only sending one picture at a time. I get no error message, but the picture does not show up. Also, I cannot resize vertically. I am using DesktopX 2.2.

Drag and drop is working, but it always shows the last image dropped no matter what loop interval is set.

That is because you have to drop more than one picture at once (select some and drop them together) to get a slide show. each time you drop something onto the widget, the old content gets overwritten.
