Wonderful stuff..really Cool..but some of the icon color is not that perfect i think. But it's still wonderful and cool!!!

These are awesome! I know what you mean by trying to make them 'slightly off the wall" because they do have a whimsical touch to them. Love the garbage can for example 
As paulpop suggested, you should make addon packs to these- a little at a time so you can get your other work done tooof course.
The creamy pastel solids you used goes well with Pinchecl's "P62 4WB" WindowBlinds' skin., "Alien Eyez Does Mardi Gras" Cursor XP, and this Wallpaper I downloaded once called "Iris 001" that looks like rays of various pastel lights

You'll also see the GANT icon package is setup like that, you have the main theme but also includes addon icons for users to customize to their needs.
