Im looking into that, never had that happen to me till just last night. I know whats causing just gotta get a fix.

If you can recreate the problem and tell me the steps, it'll speed things up alot.

If I have WinAmp open, this'll control it (well, the right/left/wheel controls - not everyone has extra buttons on their mouse ), but it won't open WinAmp itself.

A possible bug, let me know if you need more info.

Initial state, no winamp running.
I use OD pro and have it show my taskbar items in the dock, hiding the windows default bar. So when I say "task bar" below I am referring to the OD portion that displays the task bar items.

Steps:
Click docklet, winamp starts, shows (but not in taskbar) and plays.
Ctrl-click, winamp item is "shown" in the taskbar now.
Ctrl-click, winamp window is hidden but stays in taskbar.
Ctrl-click, nothing happens. Window not re-shown, but item stays in taskbar.
Ctrl-click, nothing happens. Window not re-shown, but item stays in taskbar.
etc..
Even in this state I can still pause/start by normal clicks.

I can get it back by clicking on the taskbar item, but no other way.

Thanks for the docklet. Even with this "bug" I think I will still use it

Ferrix, I tried to recreate ur problem following your steps and up to 3 I follow, on 3 when i ctrl+click it minimizes winamp and it disappears from the taskbar (i am using OD as my taskbar as well). Upon another ctrl+click it shows the window and the icon reappears. Ill try to find a fix for this as well.

DonDodds, Im not sure why your docklet is not opening Winamp, if you can use the Run dialog in the start menu and enter 'winamp' and let me know if Winamp starts up. Its possible that this association isnt made on all versions or another problem, ill add some redundancy to make sure winamp is started on clicking.

Many thanks to all who are downloading and using this docklet, this is my first try and ill be sure to try to take care of any problems and add features as requested.

Ferrix, what operating system are you using? Im working on your issue and i need a few more details as i still cannot recreate this problem.

Im also curious if everyone likes the controls, and if the title of the dock is a good format, I've considered removing the track number from the beginning, and adding a paused indicator on the title when WA is paused.

Ill try to figure out why yours is launching WA with the main window turned off cause that command is never issued it just starts winamp exactly like you would.

The volume can be controlled by scrolling while holding down the middle button on your mouse. I had to do it this because of the focus on the window, without clicking the docklet never gets the attention it needs to see you scroll.

Okay, sorry for all the multiple updates, I just got excited that so many ppl were using my docklet and kept rushing things. As of now any problems starting winamp should be cured and any problems with winamp not being removed from the taskbar should be fixed. Still tryin to figure out why the docklet cant be added in Vista.

Thank to all you leaving comments, youve been a big help and encouragement.
