Good idea to make a few colors.....I like the gold the best. What program did you use to make these ? The colors are very vibrant...they look wonderful.

Thanks, Sheley

Thanks Ms Skybright, glad you like it

Thank you Karen ! I used Photoshop, playing with contrast/brightness to get what I was looking for...

Hi windoe-- the only problem I had with this one was that after I extracted the files into my Rainlander folder-- when I want to use this skin, a message window pops up saying, "Bitmap name was not specified in the ini-file!"

But after I click "Okay" on that warning box, the skin then loads.

So I guess I'll just put up with that minor annoyance-- especially since you did such a great job on this--and I'm love'n how this Rainlander looks on my desktop

Im not having any problem like you described. The only thing I can think of is Windoe has no bitmap for the message box that pops up if you have events scheduled for Today. But the version of Rainlendar Im using defaults to a gray flat square that will substitute for the message box if no bmp is specified. I havent loaded the newest version of Rainlendar and im not sure if your using an old or a new version.

But.......
You do need to update this Windoe. I meant to tell you before , if you use fonts..you must include a copy of the font inside the rainy folder so others can add it to their windows fonts. If not, the Rainy text is not aligned properly because it defaults to ' Arial ' and the size is never the same. Right now the Rainy displays ok , but the year is not centered and hangs below frame a bit. I just moved it all myself but others might not know how to move the X and Y values or prefer the font you show in your preview.

Indeed, I downloaded several rainies without events or todo bmp, and it just opened a gray square, without any message, and I dont run the new version, neither.

For the font, sorry about that ! I usually make SMX, and font is automatically integrated to the file. I didnt notice it wasn't the same for rainlandar.A beginner mistake !
Hopefully, Eurostar Black extended is a quite useful font...
I update this as soon as possible !

Im glad you updated...I wanted the proper font - i get tired of arial . When I make a rainy if I use a special font - i change over to arial at the same size to see what it will look like. So many times I see a rainy I made and the person didnt install the font and some fonts at size 24 are tiny - but if it defaults to arial ..good lord size 24 is huge..and looks terrible. I try to assume they will not install font. So I try to use fonts that are similar to arial size. Or make a bitmap for the months using the fancy font if possible.

And I meet another problem, not only with rainlendar, but with SysMetrix too : my screen resolution !!! when I load a downloaded smx , I always have to resize or change the offset of the font myself, because they are generally made with 1024 or 1280 screens . When I load on my 1920x1200, the frame looks smaller, so the text goes out !
The problem is surely the opposite for others loading my SMX on tiny screens althought they look awesome on mine !

Sharing is good, but its better if you know how to mod ...

wow ! never thought speaking english so well
