Yeah I was sort of in the same frame of mind buzzh58. I like having my calendar match my theme, but I use a lot more than just the calendar. If I just wanted a calendar, there's about 50 other apps out there that would work. The bad part is that once someone ports for a skin, no one else is ever willing to do another port of the same calendar. IMO anyway.

This is not meant in any way to demean the quality of your contributions, your work is always ver good......it is just incomplete.
The reason I don't use calendar widgets is because of very limited functionalities offered by the programme.
Whereas, Railendar offers a huge range of functionalities and it is a pity that these sometimes are not fully skinned.
I am afraid that you are not exploring the full potential of this wonderful programme and I know that you are very capable of delivering a fully skinned product.

Thats true but in the 'old' days there would be several versions of a Rainy by various skinners for same blind. Right now Rainlendar is not a high priority application to skin. With the new 2.0 version , it has no ini pad. Not many skins for the 2.0 version. You need to have the last version of Rainlendar and the new one installed. The old Rainlendars with ini pad config will work in the 2.0 version - somewhat..
The ToDo and Event Lists work but in 2.0 the Event will show with no background ..just the text ..
Personally, I'm too lazy to chase people down for permission.
Lovely, no one wants you to stop making Rainlendars at all..its just some people do use the To Do and Event lists and the Message alerts...

That right there is all I was trying to say. Everyone has the right to make what they want for whatever they want to. That's sort of the point. It's just that there are other pieces to the skin.
Yeah I know it's not on the frontline of skinning, but it's still a skinnable app. You wouldn't use a WB that only had the taskbar and startmenu skinned because the person that skinned it doesn't really use the rest so they didn't see a need to.
That brings me to this comment...
That is basically what you are doing now isn't it? When you release something for "public" use you do need to keep the "public" in mind. Just because you don't use the rest of its functionality doesn't mean everyone else you are releasing it for has the same needs for that app. On that note, I would really like to again say that it wasn't my intention to upset you. Not every comment can be glitter and sparkles, and if you don't want feedback about how people like/dislike things about what you are releasing for them, then you shouldn't read your comments.
@ Fairyy~
I know, and it sucks. The new file system isn't nearly as easy to manipulate yet. I tried using it and it was a mess so I went back to the old version, which I will most likely use until there is a decent way to skin the new one.

Lovely, My opinion, You should do whatever is fun for you. You don't work for these people. It's not a paid skin. Just do whatever makes you happy. If they don't like it they can make their own.
Constructive criticism is always hard to take and sometimes comes out sounding like you did a bad job. You should not take it to heart. Buzz only meant to say it was not complete.
I am sure I speak for most people here when I say that your work is very appreciated and that we all look forward to watching you grow as a Skinner.

I am just kind of hardheaded and excentric and doing things my way!!!
