Looks very good ..i agree with Windoe.,..Im not a big fan of icons but no need to get rid of them..just right click on desktop and untick the " show desktop icons " and just hide them for the screen shot..

Good job for a first one !
Just my advice(but U do what U want !) : if I can, I try not to use ObjectDock and icons on desk together . Shot will win in simplicity.
