It is my understanding that Windows 8 will offer a Windows 7 type interface AND a Windows Phone 7 type interface (like the Metro Theme). The user will have the choice of which to use. The current Windows gadget galleries available are stale, dated, and boring. That coupled with the uncertainty of DX's future makes a new GUI that offers hundreds, if not thousands, of customization options available an exciting proposition. The more apps or gadgets the better.

Hi -Hopefully I'm understanding this correctly...We are looking at a desktop that has object dock items, wallpapers, windows blinds theme, etc...Right? Then for me to make mine look like yours, I will need to seperately download all of these things on my own...Am I figuring out this right?
If that is the case, could you kindly give us links to all of these components so that we can set up our desktop. Some of these items I can't find.

I like the screenshot.
I'm not all that sure I will like Windows 8, just looks like a fancy Media Center Version.
