the clock doesnt work for me, just a bunch of white dots floating around in a continuous animation loop, occationally flashing the clock for a fraction of a second.

imgo, that means you use the blue sys which has a little extra: animated mailnotification. So this means that if you've got mail the "snow" starts falling. Yes, that means the clock isn't visible. Can be undone in the configscreen by removing the animation.
