A most beautiful sentiment. I agree with Sed, it's the true spirit of The Day. Great work PO and thank you. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

On Christmas Eve everyone would go to Midnight Mass. Come back to a full course meal of ham, meat pie, mashed potatoes,vegies,desserts.... And then presents. It was called a Reveillons. Which translates to staying up all night, celebrating Christ's birth. Merry Christmas.

Christmas Eve is presents placed under the tree....with space left for Santa's parcels..... milk and biscuits placed for Santa to spot easily.... kids sitting on the bottom steps of the staircase..... eyes wide... gazing at the magical flashing lights creating dancing patterns on the silver and gold baubles... munching on mince pies and shortbreads...sipping hot chocolates..... with Christmas carols from Kings College Cambridge Choir ringing out through the house......and wondering how they'll ever get to sleep so Santa can arrive..... and a last minute flurry of present wrapping......quietly.....so little ears don't hear and tiptoe to investigate.....
nice to remember Christmas Eve.... a favourite time...
