Hi Joinasmash... I have noticed this in Firefox 3... Not sure it's a problem with my skin or not. I have to investigate the problem. I have reverted back to Firefox 2 coz of this. Yep i'm still using my own skin too 
Glad to hear others are still using it Maybe it's time for an update, maybe with subtle animations this time 
And also supporting Vista kinda stuff. Just need to find some free time.

As a temporary fix, I set up window blinds to not skin firefox 3. Firefox are doing a lot of custom rendering of stuff, and it was causing all kind of rendering glitches. Firefox will still appear dark. But the buttons won't be dark aqua-ish.

Absolutely awesome, in fact it's so good, I am proofreading my next book with it in Word. That says a lot! Great contrast, just what I need to spot errors. Unbelievably good resolution, the icons and buttons finally are up to par with Vista!
