Wallpaper moderation changes

Over the next few weeks you're likely going to notice some changes in how wallpapers are being moderated.
Previously, only a very small percentage of wallpapers were let through based on the views of our volunteer moderators who have years of experience in skinning.
Starting today, Zoomba, myself, and Karmagirl have taken over moderation directly in order to broaden the wallpaper selection.
This will mean a lot more wallpapers will come through. Not everyone will be happy of course because a lot of wallpapers that are plain or not terribly creative will come through. But we are looking to have more wallpapers that appeal to a wider audience of user.
We will still be moderating wallpapers. So people who load up Bryce and start rendering flying unicorns or take a picture of The Simpsons and paste it on a picture of your backyard are still out of luck.

I always figured if someone wanted a cheesy wall they could just go to deviantart or webshots for it.

actually, the simpsons were in my back yard watching
Britany jump through doughnuts on a dolphin...but
I couldn't find my camera and you got stuck
with this instead.
1280 X 1024 & 1024 X
768 in zip
I now have 1 wallpaper in amongst all those icons...guess I need to go edit the description of my personal page...

Good to know that my questionable talent may still get some walls posted yet!
I have a thought, Brad...whatcha think of spinning off scenery photos to another category? Been seeing a lot of those lately...and another thing - Enough of the screenshots already, geeesh! Tired of looking at the "This Just In" box, and seeing nothing but screenshots..oh boy, 30 more came in while I was typing this!!!!

Yes, there are some cheesy things at DA, but there are also some of the best walls in the world there.
Webshots... some great photography walls.
Now put that pokin stick away...
