Very original, Adni. I love the dolphin and the "Windows XP" text. Too bad it doesn't have an XP logo. That would be the icing on the cake.

If this is 16 colors I would love to know what method was used to cram all of that image data in there. But I'm guessing the preview image doesn't reflect the true image quality that is seen on boot.

Very good, but the true quality is not as good as the preview image in my opinion. Of course, bootskins can only be 16 colors and that JPEG preview is 3,443 colors. So, the preview doesn't reflect the "true" quality.
It's very nice, but bare-in-mind that you WILL be able to tell, when loading, that it is only 16 colors.
However, it's still one of the best bootskins in my opinion, great work Adni.

The preview is in .jpg format and it has more colors, though, there is not a big difference in what you see and what you get as a boot sreen.

Just checked that colour degradation...and there is a bit, no matter what 'method' is used....but ultimately the image is still pretty darn good, retaining 'most' of the detail and smoothness...
