I didn't use BootScreen for it though. I extracted the image and did it the old way.

What you have to do is decrease the colors to 16 from the 256 that the bmp is saved at now. Just find the folder for snoopy(default is usually c:\program files\stardock\wincustomize\bootskin\skins\snoopy - open the snoopyboot.bmp file with your favorite picture browser/changer - decrease the colors to 16 - save it and it should work.
I am a big Peanuts fan and was frustrated with this not working until I figured out why. So follow these steps and you too should have it working for you.
