Glad you like it! I have just submitted a MATCHING logon called "C64 log on XP" to follow up the bootskin. ahh, the good old days indeed!

This was a great idea. Love it! Have you thought about doing a desktopx theme to go with them?

I do not have DesktopX! Sorry 'bout that.
IDEA: To make the illusion of a C64-boot even more complete, I have put a C64-emulator(VICE) in my startup dir. With the argument -fullscreen added like this:
"C:\Program Files\WinVICE-1.16\winvice\x64.exe" -fullscreen
VICE settings to match the bootup and logon screens (I have 1280x1024): Options->Double Screen on, Settings->Video settings->640x480; and don't forget: Save current settings.
After logging on, this will bring you "straight" to the READY-prompt in fullscreen!!
(I put quotes around "straight", because the desktop is visible for a second [on my computer])
Does anyone have a nice 'start up' sound (wav), related to the C64? (maybe the sound of some C64-keystrokes, or something?)
