to Starman Deluxe: actually there are places you can download windows 1.01 on the internet if you look hard enough. Resource hacker can extract this bmp easily enough, as well as all other windows boot screen incarnations. This is not a photoshop touchup...its the real deal.

to Starman Deluxe: I mispoke. I meant exeScope, not Resource Hacker, for the tool to extract this boot screen from windows 1.01. Resource Hacker only does 32 bit files.

This one doesn't work for me either. It just turns the regular XP startup screen blue and white. Looks great from the preview though!

i have windows 1.01 but nowhere to upload it. It isn't even a bitmap, it was printed onto the screen like a dot matrix printer would - either that or it was crap at rendering bitmaps.

Sorry about the URL in my previous comment. I was trying a trick I was shown on the "Message Board" regarding smileys. If you go to the URL shown, it is a picture of a "Thumb's Up". In other words, "Good Job". However, I was told that the trick doesn't work on "Comments", again, I appologize for messing it up here.

i had to modify it so it was 640x480. But was it delibirate for the XP (C) to show?
