KnightRider2000, preview pic should be a jpg of the 16 color bitmap, not the full color image you have used. The preview pic is so we can see what skin looks like, this bootskin looks nowhere near the full color image. Try some different software to decrease image to 16 colors. Google for IrfanView and Gimp they both do a good job of it.

No offense intended but did you even reboot to see how it looked when applied as bootscreen.
