I'm not an ace skinner, so it's in the ZIP format of my old, original skins.
UnZip the contents to put them in their own folder/directory in whichever sub-directory has your C:\Program Files\...Bootskin\Skins\ directory. It's very easy _after_ the First time you decipher this.
Myself, I'd like to learn the easy way to change the Zip bootskin format to the "smart" *.bootskin format.

When you have bootskin ready, open Bootskin, select skin, select File on menu bar, select Export selected skin to file,
it will be exported as a .bootskin.

I myself just rename the File Extension from .zip to .bootskin after I've used XP's defaulted zip program. After all, that's all a .bootskin File Extension is. It's just the WinCustomize's Program's way of recognizing a zip file for it's BootSkin program. Give it a shot! Or after downloading a BootSkin from here just rename the File Extension from .bootskin to .zip and you'll be able to look at the inside contents without even having to use the WinCustomize program.
