It will not load because folder contains the .ini, the progress bar and another .bootskin that will install but is called Fantasy by Shamik Mitra with Lord_Donavyn's image in it. I have not tested it to see if it even works. Putting a bootskin together is very easy, no need to try to use someone else's by just changing the screen image. By all means look at the ini in others to see how they are written, could even use as a template but use your own info.

Please forigive me, this is my first Bootskin ... ever.

I designed the layout and put it together using BootSkin Buddy, when uploading it here to Wincustomize I needed a single file with a .bootskin extension.

According to the BootSkin Tute, I put the three files into a zip, and renamed the .zip to .bootskin.

If this isn't the way that it should be done, I'm quite open to suggestions. In the interim, if you rename the file to .zip, unarchive it and use Stardocks' Bootskin it will import the information.

Any help and guidance is greatly appreciated!

I have never used Bootskin Buddy, so can't help with it. I see no need for an app to do what can be done in 1 min. manually.
The .ini for a boot is very simple, I would suggest to do a skin manually to learn how. When have everything ready and folder is in bootskin skins folder, open bootskin app select skin in list, File, Export selected skin to file, it will save as a .bootskin.
