I'm gonna have to contact 'em.
Thanks for showing me the true source of the image Yrgal!
This is what the BootSkin actually looks like in Preview Mode!
Please note that I had removed the old BootSkin and replaced it with one that I created from scratch using ULead. The image you see above is the BootSkin that I created.
Thank You.

I'd make a bet that alot of the recent submissions from other bootskin authors on this site weren't original artwork by the author. Example: the mortal combat logo isn't original, I don't see permission to use that artwork either. Wonder why you got tagged today?
Yrgal, If we're going to enforce the permission rule, so be it - I'm cool with that (a few of the bootskins that I've released with skinhit's wallpapers were done with his permission and I enclosed his permission in a txt file along with my bootskin so there was no questioning that it wasn't my artwork in the bootskin) but you can't be selective in who has to get permission and who doesn't. The rule has to apply to everyone - otherwise is just an exercise in discrimination. I'm not trying to start an argument but I want to be clear on this issue and how it should work.

I love it. Maybe 5X should have made it into a bootskin! He did not but you did!! Keep up the good work.
Best regards,
Ed

No matter what happens as for as the BootSkin is concerned, you know, whether it stays are goes, it doesn't matter to me just 'cause you guys are the greatest with your positive support!
It really is a fault on my part due to me just grabbing it off of the net and if 5X wishes it removed, of course I'll comply with him/them with no ill feelings. It's just a risk you take when playing around with things you don't know about.
But once again, Thanks So Much Ed, Hog, and Rob for the greatly appreciated support!

Thanks again Hog and Rob for the great compliments.
You didn't miss a ceremony Rob, except for maybe your own Ceremony for your great achievements.

This was the BootSkin taken from 5X's image:
This new image was created completely from scratch by me using ULead.
If anyone wants to use my image for anything they want, feel free to do so, without any referencing or referring back to me. I'm sorry though that the resolution is only at 640X480. I had created it specifically at the time to be used as a BootSkin.
Here is an image of my Version if you wish to Save it to your Hard Drive for your own personal use. This one's in Ping Format. If you'd like the BMP version, just E-Mail me.
Thank You once again guys for the wonderful support!

Yes, I used separate layers for the Logo with transparency filtering.

I can't find them anymore? I hope you didn't yank them all from the site just because of what that guy said about flooding the section - he didn't have a clue as to what he was talking about.
BTW, this bootskin that you "created" is really quite excellent,
not bad for someone who claims they are not very "creative"

Yeah, I yanked 'em 'cause they did really poorly in the Download area for my personal taste. You can kinda catch up on what happened by going to the Forums and look for the Thread called, "In need of a Moderator's Assistance".
As for as the Color Sophistication, Thank You once again for the fantastic comments! I had written a prior message to you from my Blue Lil' Devil BootSkin on the information you're inquiring about of ULead.
It's Comment #4.

Ladies & Gentlemen... "We have another winner!"
You gotta love it when the download action is really good.
I'm about 20 grand short of the #10 spot in the bootskin hall of fame, I'm hoping to be #10 in a few months, after that I think I'll slow down the bootskin creation/updating at my end. My goal was to make top 10 when I started creating bootskins last august 06 - if I do that within my first year, I'll be very satisfied with the results and I can consider myself a top 10 hall of famer - yes I sound like a bit of loonie sometimes but goals are what keep me focused (I'm sure you've read a few of my rants - my verbosity has no known limits!)
My luck will be as soon as I hit that mark, some young hotshot (not mentioning any names JOHNNY) will slide into #9 or #8 - bugger!!!
Comment #19 Wednesday, February 21, 2007 9:15 PM
Nah Rob. I'm not gonna slip into 9th or 8th.
I keep my goals comparable to my talents. That's why Top 5 for the Month does me just fine. It'd take me forever to get into the 10 Spot. I probably won't even be around much longer anyway. I just wanted to get out some of John Schwegel's Artwork, get into the Top 5 for a month, and slip away again for another half year or so. My brother's been driving me nuts about us working together on making a Video Game, so eventually I'll pursue that.
No matter what though, I know Hog will keep pumpin' out Master Skins, and you'll eventually become a Mod, so I feel safe knowing the balance of the world will stay in tact
