After booting with the skin , I've found the author maybe using ansi-coding char for the background and created a "Large X symbol" for the backdrop or I think wrong. But if it does, unfortunately. It might not work fine for the XP user. Since the coding has some conflicts with the XP booting code, sometimes will hang the system. I think the coding might need to revise or using another way to trans to png or bmp (dib) format then will be more stable if the user running it for XP's boot screen.
For viewing the "Large X symbol" :
Focus your eyes inner 15 deg then you can see the X symbol in center of the screen.

I'm a bit surprised that most people haven't realized that the whole point of this particular bootskin is expressed in the description: "A simple boot screen that displays pi to 1,634 digits." It's pi, as in 3.14 etc, hence the string of numbers... it isn't quite as random as you think.
