Umm, the cursor needs a lot of work... and for your information, the subscription contest has been over for about 2 weeks now 
O, and I have made cursor themes before
Take a look at some of the highly rated cursors here at the library, and see what they did that you didnt...

Protip: Unless you're a really accomplished pixel artist looking for a challenge, don't use MSPaint to make CursorXP files. If you're going to make CursorXP files, use something like Photoshop, or the Gimp.
As for the cursors, hate to say it, but they're bad, even for MSPaint. There's no shading at all, they look flat, the enlargening technique just makes it look worse, and unless i'm mistaken, you haven't even used colors outside of the standdard 24 colors in the normal MSPaint pallete. I understand that programs like Photoshop look complex and unlearnable, but you can learn it, there are many free tutorials out there that make it a bit easier.

Ok guys, I think the point has been made that these arent the prettiest cursors on the site... not a big deal. Catluvr has made the effort and has had the courage to put his work out for public review.
Odin has some very constructive advice. CursorXP is a program well-suited to using png's with transparency and other effects. For the best reviews, you're best bet is to begin using programs capable of making these images. I would really suggest that you keep working on more cursors and just take some of the more extreme comments here in stride. We all have some people that are overly vocal with their opinion, and once one person speaks out others are more likely too. Good luck on future endevours, I look forward to more cursors!
