I really am not trying to bash you and hope you take the comments as constructive, just pointing out some things that would really make this a much better cursor worth 5 stars. As is, I would give it about 3.3 stars.
Looking forward to an update on this. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the specific constructive critisizm. I take it very much in the spirit it was given. I just hate those generalized "It sux" type of feedback. That is a lot different than constructive critisizm.
In response to your message, I will work on cleaning it up some with your ideas. On the normal cursor it wasn't resized from a smaller one. Actually it was the original image. Maybe the smaller ones derived from it just look better. Anyway, I'll see what I can do with that graphic, and it is a good point you made about not being able to use the curson in the "working in background" mode. Probably won't get to it today, but it should be updated sometime this weekend.

One more polishing suggestion if you feel like further improving things, but if not, this is fine, too. Animate the "Hand" cursor so that from the normal cursor, the blade rotates clockwise to get to the hand cursor state instead of being in the vertical state all at once. Oh and you could also have a text selection cursor by putting two blades facing eachother point to point vertically, kinda like a reversed vertical resize... That would make it a little more interesting I think.
Keep it up!
