1. CursorFX applies a drop shadow to its cursors so adding your own isn't necessary. Yes you can turn shadows off but then you want the image to be perfect not cropped and you want to leave as much control in the users hands as possible.
2. You have nice smooth animations with your standard, working in background and hand cursors but the busy animation is jerky?!
Also on a personal note; when you make a state change from the standard cursor to the hand or button cursors like dropping, rotating or the ultimate sin a complete physical change, it can be incredibly distracting and in some cases difficult to use. Your 45 degree rotation isn't that bad but open Windows OSK (On-Screen Keyboard) and try typing with your cursor. You'll get an immediate sense of what I mean. There's so much you can do with the animation like change where and when it lights up, the motion speed, it could flash, it could stay on, change colors, etc.
This is of course a personal preferance. I only mention it because this is such a nice cursor and I'd love to see more from you and actually be able to use your stuff.
