ive seen better, considering you only did two states instead of skinning the whole cursor.
next time you will be better off completing the skin before you upload it. makes it userfriendly for everyone.

I like firearms and,as R.Lee Ermey once said,"I'm armed-but I'm not dangerous." Inanimate objects cannot,by themselves,harm anyone. Anyway,I like the idea a lot but it seems to be a mirror image of the weapon with the ejection port on the left side.

ok for a first attempt, animation would be cool .don't be discouraged by people that buy into the media hate guns propaganda.they have no problems with hammers, baseball bats, and steak knives even though they are used to kill and assault people in vastly greater numbers than guns. 
p.s. the ejection port is on the wrong side if your considering a second try
