Ingui is right. But dont just rename the Zip file by right clicking and choosing, "Rename" , then renaming.
You have to actually right click the Zip file and choose 'properties"
Then you will see a button that says, "change" on the menu box.
Click "Change" and it will provide a list of all the programs you can associate the Zip file with.
Cursor XP is in that list.
click on Cursor XP on the list, and then click, "Okay" or "Apply", then "OK" to exit.
Then click on the Zip file- and the Cursor XP splash screen actually pops up! then it will install the cursor right after that.
I just tried that this sec.. and it worked for me. I am now going back to all the Cursor XP downloads that i couldnt install before , and am going to try it on them too.

After you follow the steps in my last comment- you will still notice that the Cursor doesnt show up on the Cursor XP list when you open the program.
HOwever, the cursor will still show there until you change the cursor to another one.
What to do is, click "Save As" in the Cursor XP program, and type in the name, "Abracadabra" so that you save it into your Cursor XP menu.

Just renaming it works fine if you're not hiding filename extensions. Otherwise follow lilaug's instructions (which really just rename the hidden extension).
