XX, I really don't know what to make of this design...I've never encountered anything like it...I use an optical marble mouse so this works A-OK on my end. I'm not sure how optical, roller ball "mouse pad" based devices(where the entire mouse itself must be moved)will work? Ultra minimalist display to be sure...my only quip is I wish the cross/asterisk itself was just sightly larger. Like the way it changes colour when you hit a link(small green light), & the W-in-B in yellow. Works well with 1280x1024. Very original. Thanks!!

Thanks. The orginal idea incuded a Y axis too, but CPU went to 100% each time I moved my mouse. I removed the Y axis so it's much smaller and doesn't spike cpu to 100% too. Hmm I think I can add another pixel in asterisk so it will look bigger. Thanks again and I will update it soon.

I noticed some other problems such as color for background busy isn't really working so I will recolor those too, to improve visiability.

This is great, I love using it. Its an original idea, too (I think). This could be a whole new type of cursor.
it would be cool to have something like this as a sniper score or something.
If I could rate, it would get a 10. I like the idea.

I like this one alot. Its something very helpful as I just today purchased a TrackBall Optical mouse, it really makes precision very easy. Nice work!

Would love to try this out, but when I rename the folder to the '.CurXPTheme' file, I get a 'can't load theme' error message. Any suggestions??

Thank you.

I'm kind of confused, but you meant the downloaded file? If so, the file name should be CrossCursor.CurXPTheme, but if it's a folder, it should not be renamed.

If the Y-axis worked, it would be SO cool, maybe you can figure a way out to make it work.

After downloading the file rename it putting it in quotes like this "CrossCursor.CurXPTheme" and if that doesn't work go to a command prompt and do it like this, ren CrossCursor.zip CrossCursor.CurXPTheme and that should make the file a CursorXP package.
Hope this helps MrXX

Actually it wasn't for me but for people who downloaded it and browser renamed to zip extenstion.

Reviews unfounately there is no way so far. Appox. 2000x2000 is too much for cursorxp apperently, while appox 2000x19 is ok.

I love it, excellent concept

i just wish that us 1280x1024 users could use it with the same effect as the 1024x768 and under ppl.

too bad for me....

but the CURSOR STILL ROCKS

I like this a lot - it's brilliant for checking hoizontals when I am editing my digital photos. It would be even better if you could make it fit right the way across for 1280 by 1024 pixels!

Thanks for a good one!

This thing is awesome, but it really sucks on the cpu. Good work though. Keep it up!

Oh yeah I forgot to add that the shadows *should* be off since making shadow across the huge cursor does eat a lot of cpu.
