You can manually edit your textures in something like Photoshop or Gimp to change the opacity to allow some transparency. Curtains just uses the texture you provide it. This is what I did to add some transparency to the titlebars and taskbar for the Midnight theme.

If you do this, you'll have a dead-on theme for Acrylic. Can even add in some gaussian blur or whatever you like so its not completely transparent.
