Hi ChasUGC,i created the innovation XP Corona Dxtheme, and at the moment it still has a shortcut as you know to Rainlender. I will be updating the theme to include Martins calendar. You might be havening problems if you have desktop X 1.3, when version 2 is out Ill add the calendar, hopefully then you problems should be sorted out.

OK, Chas/Adam - it's now a 'mini-calendar'

You can tweak the background graphics and buttons to you hearts content and make it even smaller

I'll now work on the color code and make it more customisable (multilingual etc).

The old larger version is still available here (http://skins.wincustomize.com/_Martin_/dx/Calendar13b.dxpack) but I won't update this from now on.

Cant wait to try this! Any chance of seeing a Tasks, Contacts, Notes objects too? Could it be a customizable interface to Outlook? You could sell this you know.

Very Nice Martin, it looks like you made a totally different skin for this. Are you saying the calender itself is sizable now? That would be great. Maybe you should put them both up as different skins with the sizable function. This is great.

Chas,

No, unfortunately it it not sizable. This is not possible yet, as you can't control an object's size via script (or font size).

I expect these features will arrive in time. Basically, as long as you keep all the source graphic filenames the same you can change the look of the object completely. You can also change the font size of objects by tweaking each object individually 9but that's a bit of a pain - hence why I hope everyone likes this smaller version!

This is a awesome idea, Martin, don't misunderstand me. I like it a lot. I think Adam mentioned that he is going to incorporate this in his next version of Innovation. The idea of having a appointment book and a date reminder calender skinned in the theme, and available right on the desktop through desktopx, sounds ideal. Other software have tried, but it is mostly a headache of crashes and bad code. I wish that the developers of desktopx would incorporate your ideas so they can be fully realized. Maybe this will prompt them. Great work.

I love what you have done, but every time I try to load it, my Puter slows to a snails pace

Can anyone else verify a problem. Then we can see if it's down to the computer/dx/theme specifically.

Cheers

I currently use desktop calendar (http://www.desktopcalendar.tk), but looks like I may be switching.

I didn't have a memory problem with it. It could be a issue of resources for elvee. I have thirteen executables loaded at startup, on a PIII750 and the calender runs fine. You might check your registry. I've cleaned up over 500 orphans in mine. Most importantly, check for spyware. It will slow any system down to a crawl. There are alot of tricks for tweaking computers for maximum performance, especially WinXP, but I'll keep this short.

Mine Also slowed to a snails pace, but unloading dx then opening the dxpack file (without dx loaded) solved it for me. But ever time i try to add app.s it adds/displays them funky...and i get CalAllApps errors . but other than that...the calendar is great good work

What errors do you get, and what version of DX are you on?

This looks great! I only wish I could get it to work. Every time I try to install it DX crashes completely. I've tried installing it several different ways, I've tried uninstalling DX and deleting all traces of it then re-installing this as the very first item and it still crashes DX.. The item is added to my list of objects when I restart but trying to import it again causes DX to crash again. Am I missing something here? I have a 2.53 GHz P4 with 1GB of RAM so I'm pretty sure it's not a performance issue..
