Sorry, but I can't quite figure out how to make it work. Where do I enter my ZIP, etc? Right now it is completely blank.

I don't understand whyy everyone is making the weather objects US only. Are the international versions harder to develop?

Legend012: Click the location. I will update the object shortly to prompt for zip on load.

CodF4ther: Just use these images on my International object if you prefer. I make these for the mass market (I'm English!), and don't have unlimited time.

I am getting a script error that is constantly stopping stating "mid" is an undifined arguement. I have included lines 174 and 175 of your script... The only lines that have "mid" by itself. Please help me fix this. If datalength 0 Then
xmlstripper = Mid(string, datastart, datalength)
Thanks!

This can occassionally happen if the web service is unavailable. I still haven't nailed down a solution as it's difficult to reproduce.

Appears that any Zip starting with "0" is being rejected.

Zips starting with a zero is a fault of the web service provider. I have asked in the past for sample zips so I can chase the provider but haven't received any yet.

Try 02134 as a standard Boston Zip

I've tried several legitimate zip codes none of which start with a zero and they are all rejected. Anyone had any luck with this? It's really kewl so I would like to get it working.

Just in case no one was aware, the XML feed that supplies all the weather data stopped working today. Any queried zip will return an empty recordset and cause all of the plugins based on this source to fail/misbehave/crash.

You might wait a couple days to see if the feed gets fixed, otherwise we'll all have to collectively find a new XML feed.

Actually it seems to be fixed. It was working at my house last night and now it works for me at work.. Sorry _Martin_ for blaming this on you. Maybe the object should return a better error message when the return value is empty like that.

This is great! And it actually works well. Anyway to get a version that only displays English Units instead of both English and Metric?

Martin, I really dig this weather object: except for one thing..the graphics are the same at day or night so on a "clear" night it shows the bright sun. Kinda confusing for an old fart like me.

If you produced an animated version using these graphics (but no smiley-faced suns) this would be the best weather object ever. Or even better, collaborate with Bryan Cook and his DXML Weather object.

How often does it update the weather? Is there any way to have it update more frequently?
