Very nice animation, but there seems to be a problem, and looks like I'm the only one, maybe someone can help me. I get this when I start using this guy.

Object doesn't support this property or method: 'System.vscreenleft'
Line: 60
Code:
[No source line text]

But besides that it is very very nice

Mario: What version of DesktopX are you using? If it's not a recent 1.99 build you will most probably have problems. You can try editing the script to change all references to VScreen to Screen instead. VScreen allows it to use both monitors of a multi monitor setup.

Requires DesktopX 2. This is an incredibly good object!

Thanks for all the comments. I'm so glad you like him. He was feeling a bit shy and scared to go out in the world.

Mario: That is a bit of an early 1.99 build. If you have OD I'd update to a more recent build if you can.

jot-wee: What is the exact error it gives? Maybe I can work out what's going wrong. It certainly hasn't crashed here and it's been running for several hours now. Make sure you haven't accidentally deleted any objects called 'Zeds' or similar. Check the Object List for the presence of that. If it's not there then DX will show an error in the script whenever he tries to go to sleep.

great object !!!

only one suggestion : when barney comes to the edge of the screen he could stop and wait or think or make an impression.
i dont know if its a lot of work but i suspect it is.
great job.

Ya you could really have a lot of fun with something like this. I remember several years ago getting a little sheep program that had this sheep you could run, and he's scamper across the screen, fall off the titlebars, yawn and do a couple other things. Imagine now it can be done with just scripting and not an .exe
Some ppl might say objects like this serve no purpose, but its nice to have some fun once in awhile too

Hehe. I have the sheep and an orange still here. I'm not sure he could recognise titlebars as I don't think vbscript supports those API calls. It would certainly be trivial to make him respond to other objects in the scene though which is something I plan at some stage once it is possible to do error handling when the object is not present. (soon I hope).
