You're welcome! I appreciate all the work you (and the other skinners) do. When it comes to working with graphics, I'm like the Three Stooges trying to move a piano

Cheers M8!

It would be so great if you could make it a desktop widget. Thanks

I've been using this for a while, and wanted to say I really like it! Not only is it visually stunning, but it works better (to me) than other DX Weathers. You've definitely outdone yourself!

Best i've seen...totally Awsome!!!

I love the weather object. It's very well thought out and extremely creative. The only thing I noticed is a possible bug with the weather-vane it points in the oposite direction from what the wind is. Has anyone else seen this happen?

Example:
Wind indicated is: ESE, 8mph

The weather vane points to WNW

Thanks DerNickpicker
No problem Gerard, glad you like them
aloneworld - you can convert it into a widget using desktopX. Make sure dx is in edit mode, the object (drag a marquee round both parts of it) then right click. Choose export... from the down menu, pick widget...etc
Thanks AZ Aviator
martinefski, cheers, if you right click those readings and properties (press ctrl when you right click because their activation is set to "none") you can change their transparency settings to suit you...I prefer them as they are so the graphics show thru more clearly, but you can modify them as you please, for your own use of course
Thanks c242, yep, meters will be added to the set at some point
MFletcher - thanks alot, is it a good time to mention that I'm working on a weather object that makes this one look almost "basic"?
Hi splashchris, glad you like the object. As to the weather-vane...no, it isn't a bug, that's how it's supposed to work. The arrow points in the direction a wind is blowing to, but a wind is named after the direction it's coming from...a little bit confusing at first, but that's how it is. So, an Easterly wind is coming from the East, and the vane points to the West because thats the direction in which the wind is blowing...make sense?

OK... I'll dive in to these heavy programmer chats..... But who can tell me how the weather data is found / linked ? Is there a well known (?) Web site for internatioal Wx that is embeded or what.

I am new to Skins etc .. please be gentle with yr explanation as I am debating getting DesktopX.

Thanks Guys

Thankyou jimmywood
hi chipps007 - well, make sure dx is in edit mode, then click on the main weather image on the left, and edit script...everything you need to know is in there

I love it! Specialy the hide forecast button. But I can't understand why "City, Location" doesn't work when it goes to be updated. ... it keeps saying that it's not a valid zip code. Though the "City, Location" has been first accepted. so Why? (

Okay I got the Calgary weather but I'm having the same problem as Meow - X. It works for a while then rndomly tells me the zip code is not accepted. Also when I boot my computer they switch back to the original display mode.
