I like it very much, especially because it is not one of these 1000000 cut and paste window objects with one copied script.

But to ask a question : Would it be possible to let a possibly new object animate from bottom to top ?

I basicly menat, that it opens from the bottom to the top, so that You could place it at the very bottom of the screen and it expands to the top. Hmm, maybe I could do that myself by changing the script a little(?).

i like this but.....
for some reason here lately when a widget is turned to an object, I get scripting warnings from McAfee and it will not load. This one and aero weather does it.

This has only happened recently, but an example of a widget that gave me these warnings and then when it turned into a object it did not, was the ultra-lite version of Looking glass weather.

wonder why?

I am new to all of this and proabably considered dumb for asking this but for some reason the only weather I get is thunderstorms. How do I get it so that it will show all the weather animations?

If it is posible that It is not getting through to the internet quick enough. Click on the main body of the object. (Up by the Temp) and it will refresh the info.

Great work as usual! I am, however, having a problem with this object "remembering" its settings (e.g., location on the screen, zip code, color) when I place it on my 2nd monitor in my dual-monitor desktop. Is there anything that can be done to fix this? Regardless, this, like the other core objects, is fantastic!

Is there a "standard" or just a "good" way to modify the script so that if you are not internet-capable when you boot up, the object just shows some default arrangement? Right now, DX freezes for a very long time on boot up on my laptop when I am not near a wifi hotspot. Removing CoreWx from the theme eliminates the boot up freeze.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hey this is pretty nice! Does anyone but me have problems getting the object to remember settings? If I close the object and then run it the settings are remembered. However, after rebooting the object returns to the default settings.

I have sean this before, I have not found out what the problem is. I think it bight have to do with virus skanners, or somehting else reverting the regestry. But I will fix it soon as I fiqure it out.

Everything was working fine until I upgraded to DesktopX v3 and now the text of the location and current weather conditions are on top of each other. Also the link at the bottom to weather.com now reads "ww.weather.com" (one "w" missing). It appears all the graphics have been compressed. Any ideas??
