Don't know if I would ever need it (never know though) Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to make it and share it.

Thanks Murex.

It's kinda rough & meant more of a demonstration of the FSO. It got my creative juices flowing in the direction of creating skinnable message & input boxes.

I just downloaded it, and opened it up. Then I made a "Test" folder on my desktop and dropped it on the Object. It asked for names....I think I made 5. But if they exist somewhere, they're not on my Desktop!

I have no idea what this thing does hahah. But I do have a need to create Folders quickly so thought I'd give it a try.

Can you give us a scenario where this might come in handy?

Nice to see unique ideas coming out!

That's strange because that's the structure I use when I script these. Just tested it on my desktop without a problem. Did you enter a 1 or 2 in the first message box then hit enter or select ok?

Can you give us a scenario where this might come in handy?

Backups, file mgm't, etc. etc.

Hopefully I get to a file type sorter soon which would sort based on date/time or on file type.

Yeah I hit 1 or 2 then just put in a name or # in next empty box. Nada. I'm running Vista. Would that make a difference? I'm sure it's just some "little thing" as always heh.

Holy Cow! You might want to mention that it creates the new folders WITHIN the one you drop on the widget! I didn't even think to look in it till I tried it again just now.

Very very useful SirS. How come you limit it to 5 Alpha named files though? Is it a limitation somewhere along the line?

FYI Usually when you drop a folder on something it creates within that folder.

How come you limit it to 5 Alpha named files though?

Laziness. More are easily added within the script.

Is it a limitation somewhere along the line?

Nope. Haven't got a grasp on recursion yet. Maybe a do loop is all I need to change? Then it would possibly go until you hit cancel.

Haha yeah I'm a fool

This is great. I'm doing a job where we're isolating plant classifications by type like "Narcissus" and I need to create 10, even 100 folders within the starting one that ALL start with "Narcissus" -- so then "Narcissus Sun King", "Narcissus Lion's Roar" etc.

Would be so sweet if one could insert ("Narcissus" x100)and they are just sitting waiting for the rest of the name to be plugged in.

Version 2.0?

Thanks again for your efforts. Will be watchin' fer ya!
