I doesn't do anything by itself. Being a scripting plugin, you have to write or adapt a script to use it.
Out of the box, DesktopX only allows you to drop files onto an object and get the list of dropped files in you script. This plugin adds a new ability: drag and dropping text onto an object.
The test object is just a simple script object with the new callback function. Try selecting text in you browser and then drag&dropping it onto the object. It should popup a message box with the text you selected.
