I do like the sigle meters like this but whats the dell with no way to configure mail and network in and out?

If you import the widget by desktopx as you do for the object, you can configure them by a right click ( configure performance meters ) and then select the hard drive you want. same thing for in and out meters you chnage the source if you have a wifi connexion (like me). in systeme perfomance meters , choose interface reseau then select your wifi card on the right screen and select the instance you want ( in french this is octets recus/s and octets transmis/s) hope it can help you. I really like it too. Hue shifts nicely, nicely sized, love the "stackable blocks" approach. Easy enough to import into DTX, make various meter combinations and save as separate widgets (don't always want everything at once). Nice concept and nicely done!
