Great little meter. Another addition to what is becoming a top drawer suite!

There is a more suitable font just called digital.tff where the number '1' isn't centered, I think it looks better using that font. Also, I don't know if this is possible, but I'd really love to see a CPU widget that doesn't jump instantly to whatever the cpu's load currently is e.g. more like a rev counter on a car with smooth animation from (for example) 3% up to 40%.

Other than those small niggles,its great and is sitting along side nicely between some other DX and Konfab widget

cheers coffeegrinder
thanks for the compliment butch
Hi Rob, yeah you might be right about the font, I will download it from somewhere and check it out
As far as the animated "rev-counter" behaviour of the meter, hehe, I've tried that before - it stresses the cpu to a small but noticeable degree which is sort of incongruous in a cpu meter imo. Although I agree with you, it would look nice

Excellent Tiggz!

However it is quite small in a 1600x1200 desktop, it would be awesome if it could be resized!

cheers Rob, I found the font, will look at updating this with it at some point...you know how it is...finding the time etc LOL
Jrgen - you would have to import the widget into dx first of all, then fiddle around with the script in the background object. Find line 28 where it says:
r=desktopx.Object("GT3_meter_ram").text
insert a line directly beneath it that reads:
r=100-r
this will then change both readings (mb and %) to show available ram rather than used.
Hey TasT - yeah it is quite dinky at that res, which is also the resolution I use ...I wanted a titchy little meter, and I guess I got one. It would be cool if dxscript had the ability to change font sizes on the fly, it would make scripted widget resizing alot easier - maybe we will get that in a dx update one day.

I've always liked that "sink into the desktop" look. Any chance that can be added to the rainy you did for GT3? Sorry to mention this here, but I figured you were paying more attention to this page right now.

Cool Meter. Anyone know why the CPU usage always reads 0?

Might it have something to do with these font files?Can't figure it out In case you ain't get it I'm new to this.

Thanks.

Very nice, well done as always. One thought though, if it's possible, it would be cool if it could be flipped for those of us who would like it to fit the bottom of the screen just right.
