Edit what script? I can only edit the dxpack...My bar just keeps cycling from beginning to end. It reads the SSID, but i do not think it is ready the connection

In order to edit a widget, you have to import it as opposed to loading it.

Hey, I really love this widget. I have problems with my wireless on a regular basis. I think its my provider but this will help me see if its my wifi or the cable. I've modified it to fit to my desktop theme(GT3 with all widgets) so now its just the 5 bars and all blue no matter how many bars. This took a little time, being thats its the first time I've ever tried to modify a widget. BTW: I think its looks a lot better without the frame and wireless name . I have a question though, how can I make it automatically check the network on startup. Its now a dxpack along with all my other widgets and they all load as a theme on startup, but it just sits in the off state. Is there a script I can edit or rewrite for this function. Thanks so much for this small but highly functional bit of programming for all us wireless users. Keep it up.

In the OnScriptEnter function, change "ObjState = False" to True. You can also remove the DesktopX.Object("WiFi_textSSID").text = "OFF" code (as well as some of the other parts). Next, copy the section of the OnLButtonDown function that turns the widget on (line 210).
The widget should work on boot, I didn't package it this way becuase it doesn't work that well on my system. Keeps telling me it couldn't find my adapter.

The next version will have this option more easily accessible. And the brackets will be removed . If you have any more questions send me an email (exoduscrow@hotmail.com)

This is a great widget, many thanks. Only grief I have is that it does not recognize my Belkin MIMO F5D8010 PC Card at all, even though it works perfectly in XP. Card connects at 108Mbit, do you think that is the problem?
