I use the BUILT-IN "GRAPHICAL PERFORMANCE METER" that is part of DX. Unless you have an older version of the DLL or maybe need to clear your Cache in DX to make sure there is nothing in DX when you start then load the widget.
Just an FYI All of my CPU meters work exactly the same, using the exact same setup. Teh only differece is the rotation or move scripts. If the TEXT % doesnt change then there is something wrong with your DX setup.
If you create a object add the Graphical Perf Meter and pick the "System Performance meter: Process total / Process Time" and see if that works alone, if it doesnt then there is some glitch in your DX setup.
