Raygun..this is a " widget" and you need to download desktopx for widgets to work.Look under DesktopX catagory , I believe there is a free version.. You just need the program but it doesnt need to be running for widgets to work. When you download a widget, just d/load it to where you have desktopX and d/load it to the " widgets " folder in desktopX. This widget...you click on it, and it will cover your desktop. But, you can put a wallpaper or picture on desktop and the pics will peek through the oval opening in this widget.An easy way to put a pic to center through opening is to use the Silica picture frame widget to move around and position under the oval...
Right click on any widget and go to properties and you can change the color by moving hue slider and transparency . Click on widget to close or hide to task bar or simply hit F10 for widgets to hide..F10 to reappear.

~Actually buzz..I tried this on an 800 x 600 reso and it works fine..gives a bigger oval so its good for a larger view of walls...I have quite a few 800x600 photos ..and this works well framing them ..
