Pretty amazing work man. Very well made, well thought out, and works great. I usually don't really like this sort of thing on my desk, but with the auto-hide, it really makes it an option. Excellent job on this, you've really been coming up with some creative and innovative work.

If you could make a 1024 wide version, Id be thrilled as would all us poor folks without huge monitors. Its a great bar

Boss - Thanks very much. Yeah, the autohide option is what makes all these widget type programs practical, given that the desktop is so seldom clear if you're actually doing any work.

glowster - I will work on a 1024 version of this one, shouldn't be too long.

Yo, this is a really neat concept. I tried it out. Loads okay and all appears to work well with exception of changing shortcuts. I right clicked a shortcut, went to DesktopX and selected "set Target". Nothing happens. I tried again and clicked on properties and it came up okay; but, can't change the target. Is it just me? Widgets I have loaded are working fine, as did yours with the one exception of changing targets. Any ideas???

Mr Maggot - You're right I didn't realize it, but the widget runtime doesn't behave the same on right-click as the DesktopX environment. It appears to be a limitation that I have no way to get around, if the bar is loaded by executing it as an .exe.

However, if you run DesktopX (in either client or builder mode) and import the bar, then Set Target works as expected. If you want, you can then export your bar as a widget after getting the shortcuts set up the way you want them. Sorry about that.

This is a great little widget MountainDragon!!! Very useful. I had problems with re-naming the shortcuts but after reading through the comments and your suggestion about importing as an object... no more problems

Obviously, this has been very well thought out and is one of the truely usefull widgets/objects for my personal way of working. Thank you so much!!

Wet Monkey - Thanks, very glad you like it. After perusing some of your Sysmetrix skins, I'm not too surprized!

Nice execution! As mentioned, above, well-thought out!

Is there any way to make the width variable? Unlike Glowster, I *AM* lucky enough to have a huge monitor that's running @ 1600 x 1200, but as you've already guessed, your excellent Top Bar only comes 3/4 the way across the screen. I like the consistency of having it run all the way across, though... it's pleasing to my brain, don't you know.

Thanks for the great widget, MountainDragon!

TheLaflaf - See comment #5 above regarding resetting shortcut targets.

Chuckwrox - Importing the Top Bar into DesktopX builder mode will allow you to change the width parameter for the bar object. Then you can export back out to a widget if desired. See comment 5 above also, as you will also want to set your shortcuts.

Thanks to all for the positive comments.
