Very nice work. 2 issues: Quick Launch does not launch menu and Mail Launch only launches MS Outlook. I can't reset these as per shortcuts. Any other options? Thanks in advance.

StephanA - If you are running the bar as a widget exe, then it seems that there is no way to get to the DesktopX "Set Target" command. This appears to be a limitation of the Widget runtime.

However, if you run DesktopX (in either client or builder mode) and import the bar, then Set Target works as expected. If you want, you can then export your bar as a widget after getting the shortcuts set up the way you want them. Sorry.

Hope this helps.

I like the look of this thing.... But for some reason... Everytime I turn it on Windows Makes a Ding sound as if something is wrong....

And I don't understand Why this is the only thing I have that everything can be moved.... Just trying to do a couple things to it and everything is out of place....

glowster - Are you having trouble with the auto-hide function?

yes after bringing it into desktopx to configure all the goodies, then taking it back as a widget, I cant even find the auto hide. The F9 & F10 keys will work, and I can live with that if necessary

glowster - There's maybe three possibilities I can think of here:

1. Somehow the autohide button got moved when you had it imported.
2. The button's place in the Z-order got changed, so it's now behind something. (less likely since it's contained by the bar, which is the only object behind it.)
3. The image for the button didn't come along for the ride.
4. The button was deleted somehow.

In any of these cases, the solution involves importing it into DesktopX again, and using the Object Navigator (List Objects) to see what's in there. If you like you can send the object to me and I will fix it for you. Just zip up your widget exe and send it as an email attachment to: Email

Let me know.

Great stuff!! One problem for me: if you accidentally move the array of shortcut buttons off the bar, they don't come back when you reload it or even after deleting and downloading it again. Do I need to import it into DesktopX and do something more?

DigitalKnight: Yes, import the bar into DesktopX in builder mode, and export it to a widget again, if that's how you want to use it. You will have to set up your shortcuts first before exporting. I'm not sure where the positioning data is stored for widgets that are using the widget runtime, but it is separate from the .exe file.

Let me know if you have further problems.
