Raygun, what version of DesktopX are you using and do you have a multi-monitor setup (not something I've been able to test)

i'd use this as a desktop fixture if i could change the color of the text. woodbridge, if it's possible to do so, please tell me how . it's a fabulous widget and superb idea.

You know, that's pretty cool. Really neat idea. Haven't seen that before.

It doesn't work on a multi-monitor setup. It can't be dragged out of the primary monitor and onto the secondary monitor. I have tried forcing it to start on the other monitor and it doesn't work either.

Changing the colour of the text isn't implimented yet, but its very easy to add in. However, there isn't anymore room on the preference window to add more options. I'll see if I can move or combine other options to make room, or I could move the preferences into a custom object...

I'm not sure on the multi-monitor support. I think I can get it working, but the widget wouldn't be taskbar aware. Would that be a problem for users of multi-monitors?
I could either make another preference option to enable multi-monitor support (see above....no room!) or I could add a second widget in the zip file.

I'll burden Martin will a question to see if there is a better way (Sorry Martin )

The next update will hopefully include both of the above, and also I'll get the widget to adjust position whenever the taskbar is moved/resized. Glad you all like it

Unfortunately it doesn't work for me... someone can help me out?

My widget only show "week" and nothing else... not even the day in any format. I installed it again and nothing changed.

I liked it so much!! Please, Woodbridge, help!

Paperdesigner - Not sure whats gone wrong, have you tried cleaning out your widget cache? (load DX, click on the 'Load Widgets' -> Options -> Clear Widgets Cache) Other than that I can only think of not having the lastest version of DesktopX being the problem. What version are you using? DesktopX 3.1?

Ok, Woodbridge. I didn't know about this cache "trick". I will try it as soon as possible.
And yes, I am using DesktopX 3.1. Thank you!
And congratulations on the widget! It is very innovative and nice!

Thank you very much, Woodbridge. Everything went just right.
By the way, I was using DesktopX 3.0, and the update was done a few minutes ago.

Thank you again, and congratulations for the excellent widget!! I am proud of using it right now.

Bugger....uploaded a duff version that doesn't save any settings. Will upload the correct version in a bit.

Where do you right-click on it to get the configuration dialog? I can get the properties, of course (left click) but I can't find the other dialog you mentioned.

Good point. It works on my laptop, but not my office desktop. I'll check that.

Work excellent for me. Already came up with proper us date ..just click on it and preference box pops up to change corners and color skins. In widget preferences i put " always on top" and made slightly transparent so its not in the way at all. looks rather cool too
Thanks.

I use always on top too, that was how I intended it to be used, but I figured most would prefer if it defaulted to normal level.
