Awesome, rabidrobot. Good work on making it into a widget. I love it. I made my own png for it, set it to almost transparent and placed it over my "show Desktop" icon in my quick launch bar. It works perfect. It's always on top and it's exactly what I needed. Thank you.

Thanks, MD, that means a lot!

hotrod11, I'm very pleased that you like it. I am sorry I neglected to thank you for your input on what features would be most useful; you were helpful and encouraging.

No Problem. I'm just sooooo glad it works and allows me to see my customized widget full desktop with my IconX icons.

It is a nice program, but it will be better if that nuissance of warning did not pop up everytime Windows starts. Selecting "Always on top" did nothing. Any ideas?

The reminder should no longer show if you've answered the question "Do you ever want to see this message again?" by clicking "No". That should prevent the reminder from showing again, unless the files in your
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\DesktopX\WidgetCache\TheHardestButtonToButton.exe
folder are being erased or altered.

You must run this as a widget for preferences such as this to save. If you are running it as an object imported into a desktop, many of the functions will not function.

FOllowed all your instructions. After removing and reinstalling, selected "Apply", received the warning, clisked on "Ok" and also received a warning. Object Desktop restarted and received the warning. Restarted Windows and also received the warning. It is a very good utility, unfortunately I can't get to work properly.

Yeah, well, hmm. There shouldn't be an 'OK' option on any 'warning' generated by this widget--maybe it is something else. This widget displays one reminder, with 'Yes' and 'No' buttons. I am also unclear on where you would be asked to 'Apply'. This widget shouldn't require anything like uninstalling--just a clearing of the cache if you want.

You say 'Object Desktop' restarted; maybe you mean DesktopX? If DesktopX is being used to run this widget, the preferences, like warning supression, will not save. This widget must be run as an exe, not as an object imported into DesktopX.
